The Posting-Free International Transport Declaration:
Who are we

We represent over 50  like-minded organizations from 24 EU Member States supporting an efficient internal market of road transport services and therefore cannot accept the application of the Posting of Workers Directive (96/71/EC)
to international transport operations in the European Union.

Why we support Posting Free Transport
 

Applying posting rules to international transport would be an unenforceable and disproportionate measure that will not solve any of the issues which currently challenge the transport market.

A lex specialis for international road transport which subjects drivers to posting of workers rules goes against all EU internal market achievements and adversely impacts the transport and logistics industry.

Industry urges MEPs to exclude international operations from a lex specialis in view of its adverse consequences for road transport on the European economy and trade at large. Excluding international transport operations from posting of workers rules will support effective, seamless and reliable road transport operations connecting citizens and businesses alike in the periphery and the centre of Europe with each other.

Industry urges EP to support TRAN Mandate on Mobility Package

 

​New rules on road freight transport now under review in Council and Parliament need to be simple, uniform, clear and easily enforceable, so that they facilitate transport operations, protect the workers employed in this industry and ensure a fair competitive environment.
